This downtown phoenix wedding at the Irish Cultural Center was so fun to edit and throw together! This was another beautiful wedding I second shot for my friend Kali, and the details were incredible.
Before the Wedding
Maggie and Kory had their wedding outside the McClelland Library in downtown Phoenix. Before the wedding, Maggie and her girlfriends were getting ready at a cute AirBNB downtown. If you’re one of my brides, you’ve probably gotten my guide for your wedding day, which talks about importance of getting ready location.
If you’re new to the blog (and my work), I’ll let you in on the details. Getting ready before the wedding, it’s important to pick a space that has good natural light and is clear of clutter. The AirBNB Maggie chose made it easy to do detail shots of the rings, flowers, invitations and other items important to her day. You’ll also see there is a cute little timeline made on their invitation that I thought was a perfect gift for guests! Kory got ready in a room right near the ceremony area with his groomsmen, which had great access to natural light as well.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was outside and it was a pretty clear, sunny day. The ring bearer had a cute “here comes the bride” sign (I loved it) and there were two adorable flower girls that strolled down the aisle. Maggie and Kory said their vows to each other amongst their close friends and family, and with a quick kiss they were wed and it was time to party.
The Reception
One of my favorite details of the reception was Maggie and Kory’s cake which had cute little figurines of them and their pets on top. They also served both a sweet and savory dinner option for their guests. The reception was held inside but there was a large area outside for mingling. Near the end of the night, friends and family gathered to send them off for a sparkler exit.
