These were the Portland city engagement photos of my dreams! Amanda and Sam met me on the waterfront on a beautiful, hazy day in downtown Portland. We started off walking along the riverfront, focusing on the city skyline and gorgeous sunset! The two added their own lock to the esplanade with their wedding date and a shoutout to Sam’s favorite baseball team, the Padres! Afterwards, we headed to our second stop – a downtown rooftop with an epic view of Portland. Amanda and Sam changed into a more formal outfit, and combined with the beauty of downtown it was everything!

If you want to have Portland city engagement photos and are in love with the downtown vibe, I highly recommend exploring a few different areas. Northwest Portland is a little more industrial, featuring lots of brick buildings and some of my favorite wedding venues (Blockhouse and Castaway, hello!). The Pearl district has more high rise buildings and shopping centers. One of my favorite spots in downtown Portland is nearby the Nines Hotel. If you have time, stop at Departure and enjoy a cocktail on the rooftop! If you want to explore gorgeous views of the Columbia River, check out the waterfront. In the spring time, the waterfront has cherry blossoms that are stunning to see!
