Sam and Hayden’s fall wedding at Pine Creek Nursery in Monroe, Washington

I am so grateful to have had the incredible opportunity to photograph Sam and Hayden’s wedding at the beautiful Pine Creek Nursery, a Washington wedding venue. As a PNW based photographer, I thrive on capturing weddings in nature with lush, sprawling gardens and sunsets in pine trees. This Pine Creek Nursery wedding was the perfect backdrop for a quintessential fall wedding!

The couple, Sam and Hayden, were referred to me by my dear friend Lexie. Sam and I even had the chance to meet in person for Lexie’s bachelorette party in the summer of 2023, where I realized our matchup was meant to be! Sam and Hayden both have a corgi named Lux, and Sam has a passion for books, both things we have in common!

Their wedding day kicked off at the beautiful venue on a sunny September day. I started by taking photos of Sam and her bridesmaids upstairs, where champagne was popped and drinks were shared with excitement for the coming day. We made our way downstairs from the bridal suite for some gorgeous photos on Pine Creek nursery’s lawn. Afterwards, I focused on celebrating with the groomsmen in the same space with Sam tucked away – pinning boutonnieres and taking some fun photos.

During the ceremony, Sam and Hayden opted to play instrumental music on low in the background while exchanging vows. I thought this was such a great idea, and I’m sure it took the pressure off the couple sharing their personal vows! Sealing it with a kiss, the two recessed down the aisle as newlyweds to the song “Do Ya” by Mcfly.

The rest of the wedding went smoothly, from sunset newlywed portraits to sharing ice cream on the dance floor! One of my favorite standout moments from Sam and Hayden’s reception was their cardboard cutouts of their pets! They were a hit on the dance floor.
