I know that there are TONS of questions going through your mind while you're looking for a wedding photographer!
My goal is to make things super duper easy for you so I made this FAQ page to help answer some common questions I get asked!!!
One last thing to note before we get started, though!
You don't have to have everything all figured out before booking me. You don't have to ask all your questions before booking me, either. I'm here to help you every step of the way and be your FRIEND, not just your wedding photographer, through all this!! I'm not going to disappear in a cloud of smoke after you sign that contract, I promise. I am just as excited for your wedding day as you are!!
Alright, with that being said - LET'S GET INTO THIS!
I want to make this process as easy as possible for you.
This varies based off wedding, but if you want photos of getting ready all the way through first dances/etc, you will definitely need at least 8 hours of coverage. If you are doing less reception events I think 6 hours is the way to go!
OMG I seriously hope this would never happen but I know it's possible. I will reach out to try and find another photographer to step in my place who is just as capable as I am. They would shoot on my memory cards, upload the unedited images to dropbox or google drive and transfer them to me. Upon transfer, I would edit the photos so they would still look like the end product you hired me for! WE GOTCHU.
I'll be honest, this would be super difficult if you don't do a first look (where you see each other before the ceremony).
If you do a first look, we'll move into wedding party photos and then family photos, giving you about 30-45 mins before the ceremony to take some pictures of the two of you and then let you hang out until the ceremony starts!
If you’ve already put a deposit down on a date then have to move/cancel it, the deposit is legally non-refundable but can be transferred to a new date I am available. If you choose a date I am unavailable, the deposit is still non-refundable.
I highly recommend speaking with me about dates you're thinking of postponing to, to make sure I am free!
I've been photographing professionally since I was 13 years old (I'm 27 now!) and I have been capturing weddings for about 6 years now. If you're interested in more info about my background you should check it out on my about me page!
Every wedding and event is different, so my packages sometimes can vary in how many images are delivered. However, I promise to include as many images as I can that turn out great - making sure to avoid duplicates, blurry photos, eyes closed, etc. I know it may seem super exciting to get hundreds of pictures sometimes but it can also be overwhelming going through a gallery super large if there is only a slight difference between pictures. I average 75 images/hr or so but don't promise an exact number because of that.
My wedding packages include travel expenses, so you don't have to worry about it!
For Lightroom, the colors/tones of the photos will be most consistent with my portfolio. Keep in mind that the lighting, weather and location can affect how photos look. So don't compare photos of a sunny beach wedding to your indoor ceremony downtown if that makes sense!
For editing YOU, I won't change the way you look other than skin blemishes or anything temporary that would not normally be there (bruise, scrape, breakouts that aren't normally there). If you are self conscious about something, please let me know as I can try and do the best I can to help with that while posing you. I do not edit out acne scarring (as it can take a long time & I'd have to charge more) , but I can refer you to some photoshop services that do!
