Hands down one of my favorite engagement sessions to date, Chantel and Ryan were a match made in heaven. These two love birds met while going to school at Texas A&M, and were inseparable since. We got together for a fun filled night of running around the Superstition Mountains, coupled with yours truly slipping on the edge of the Salt River and getting covered in mud. But it was all worth it. Their energy and laughter was contagious.
I’ve talked about this session for months since it happened, and one of the first things I bring up is how cool it was to incorporate their class rings with her engagement ring. Their school spirit was off the charts, as is everyone’s in that part of Texas, and so of COURSE we had to put the rings together. I know this is kind of a goofy thing to be in love with, but I really do love how big his ring looks next to hers. You’ll see in some of the photos below.
Put a couple together in an engagement session, have them face each other, and usually magic is bound to happen. But something about these two and their energy was so unlike the other sessions I have done before. They laughed together, they hugged each other, they had tickle fights. He held her close and in quiet moments between photos she leaned on him; he watched over her.
I am so grateful I had the chance to capture their love story and I’ll never stop talking about our time together in the desert. Cheers to the future Mrs. Knapp – you two are a match made in heaven and I am so glad you came out to Arizona to hang out with me.
