Ever since I first visited Slot Canyon in Arizona, I was eager to photograph an intimate elopement there. The beautiful orange hues, the way the canyon dips and curves, and the one-of-a-kind views are unlike anything else.

Carmen and Julio traveled to Arizona all the way from Texas to celebrate their love. The day was very laid back and relaxed. The two got ready with their family in an Airbnb in Page and headed off to the tour site. The tour company started us out on a truck ride through Page to Slot Canyon, where we explored the site privately. Both Julio and Carmen were captivated by the beauty of the canyon, I could tell it had to have been such a unique experience for them not being from Arizona.

After venturing through the canyon, we headed back to the truck and went over to a private lookout at Horseshoe bend where the two said their vows and sealed their marriage with a kiss.

The day was adventurous, beautiful and intimate. Elopements have a special place in my heart that I can’t quite put into words, but I hope these photos can do the day some justice!
