I can’t wait to share my photo adventure at Snoqualmie Pass with you all, and just typing this blog post makes my heart ache for the pacific northwest all over again.

A few weeks ago, I decided to go on a spontaneous adventure to Portland to visit a friend and take a trip up to Seattle while I was there. The drive up north was only about three hours and man, it was beautiful. But the best part, without a doubt, was meeting Torrey and Maddy and spending a whole 4-5 hours with the two of them. Torrey had responded to a model call I had posted online looking for a Seattle-based couple. Up until we met we were complete strangers. After the hike I felt like I had made two new friends and had known them for much longer. Their energy is contagious — they both have adventurous spirits and huge hearts.

During our hike, Maddy was talking to me about how the right people just walk into your life when you aren’t even looking and that’s exactly how she met Torrey. Maddy was grabbing an uber home from work and Torrey just happened to be the one to pick her up. He wasn’t far from Seattle, serving in the military there. Now they are both in Seattle, Torrey does freelance videography and web design while Maddy works for Nordstrom Corporate #powercouplegoals. They love to adventure together outdoors, read, listen to podcasts and just spend quality time together. The two of them have been together for about two and a half years but being around them you would think it was much longer.

This afternoon was a long one, but I couldn’t imagine spending my day anywhere else with anyone else. It was so much fun getting to explore Washington and connect with two new wonderful people. I am certainly going to miss it.
