Blockhouse Wedding Venue | Portland, Oregon | City Wedding Venue
Blockhouse is the perfect combination of city and forest vibes, nestled in the heart of Northwest Portland!
One of my favorite wedding venues to date, Blockhouse, is a must on any engaged couples venue tour list. As mentioned above, this venue is the perfect combination of city and forest vibes! Why? Because Blockhouse sits next to one of my favorite nurseries in the city, Pomarius! And couples have the amazing opportunity to have their wedding ceremony in the nursery’s Orangerie. Talk about a jaw-dropping spot to say “I Do”!
What Blockhouse has to offer
When it comes to city wedding venues, Blockhouse has a lot to offer engaged couples! The venue has both indoor and outdoor options, from a stylish outdoor patio to the covered Orangerie nursery garden. The venue rental rate includes a standard 12 hour rental, the set up and break down of Blockhouse’s inventory, a Blockhouse team member on site the entire event and a surround sound and a chef inspired kitchen. Blockhouse also includes chairs and glassware, tables, chairs, and a 6ft wooden bar. The guest limit for an outdoor wedding at Blockhouse is 120.
I also love their bistro lights on the patio; they give such a romantic vibe for dinner or for a dance floor! Lastly, a variety of romantic plants sets apart Blockhouse from other wedding venues, creating a gorgeous backdrop all on their own, whether or not you decide to have wedding flowers!
The best time to get married at Blockhouse
One of the best times to get married at this venue is summer! The most dry times of the year in Portland tend to be July-August. However, I’ve had plenty of couples choose to get married downtown in the fall (September and October) and they had an amazing day! Since Blockhouse has both outdoor and indoor options, it is an easy choice for you on your wedding day because there will always be a plan B.
How to get to Blockhouse
Blockhouse is located in Northwest Portland, just off I-405. Their location makes it easy to set up a variety of hotel blocks in the city for your beloved guests! Some of my favorite hotels in Portland are the Sentinel, the Nines and Hotel Grand Stark.
