Sunset Maternity Photos at Cannon Beach

June 3, 2023

This past month, I had the incredible opportunity to capture the excitement and anticipation of Roy and Kasia as they embark on the journey of parenthood!! Maternity photos at Cannon Beach are always dreamy. It was an honor to document this special moment in their lives, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Cannon Beach. From the first click of the shutter to the last rays of golden sunlight, their maternity session was filled with love, laughter, and the companionship of their sweet dog Balki!

Roy was my fiancé Ryan’s roommate during their days after graduating from Oregon State. Through Roy, I had the pleasure of meeting Kasia, a vibrant soul with Polish roots. Their love story has grown and flourished, leading them to this beautiful milestone. Knowing I was a photographer, they approached me for a maternity session, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to capture their joy.

As we planned the session, Roy and Kasia expressed their desire to include their beloved Great Pyrenees, Balki. This gentle giant quickly won my heart with his friendly demeanor. With Kasia’s Polish heritage, it was a delight to see her command Balki’s attention with the words “jum jums” – a clever way of saying treats in the form of McDonald’s chicken nuggets. Balki’s presence added an extra layer of love and charm to the photos, highlighting the bond between this growing family.

Choosing the Perfect Location: Cannon Beach

For their maternity session, Roy and Kasia had a specific request – to have their photos taken by the iconic Haystack Rock. It was a special moment for Roy, as he had never experienced the beauty of Cannon Beach before. The towering rock formation served as a stunning backdrop, symbolizing the strength and stability that Roy and Kasia carry as they prepare to embrace parenthood.

During the session, it was evident that Roy and Kasia are a couple filled with joy and excitement for the upcoming chapter of their lives. Their vibrant personalities and loving connection made every click of the camera effortless and filled with genuine emotion. As I witnessed their laughter and affection, I couldn’t help but feel privileged to capture these precious moments, which will soon become cherished memories.

As the session concluded, the setting sun cast a warm glow upon Roy, Kasia, and Balki, symbolizing the bright future that awaits them. With their love, laughter, and the anticipation of welcoming their little one, this beautiful couple is ready to embark on the incredible adventure of parenthood. I feel truly blessed to have been a part of their journey, documenting their joy and preserving the memories of this remarkable time in their lives.
