The Secret Garden Wedding venue by Wedgewood Weddings is a stunning location in Phoenix, Arizona that is perfect for a classy, timeless bride and groom.
Taylor and Ryan’s wedding day was a date I have been counting down for quite some time. I was incredibly eager to meet up and celebrate these two lovebirds at the Secret Garden for their wedding. I’ve known Taylor for about five years! In college we worked together at Victoria’s Secret. When I took photos of her and Ryan for the first time I was so incredibly happy for her. I could just tell the way he looked at her that there would be a ring in the near future. Fast forward to when they were engaged, Taylor reached out to me for her wedding and I was absolutely GASSED like my breath was GONE from my body! Without hesitation, I cleared my calendar and said hell yes.
I love being around these two; their love for each other dominates whatever room they’re in, instantly making it lighter and happier. I can’t help but leave happy every time I have met up with them. We went to California for their engagement photos at Aliso Beach (you can find the blog post HERE) and it was a blast. We celebrated their beautiful photos with a relaxed night at her mom’s house with margaritas and mexican food. Talk about my kind of people!
The Wedding Day
When the day for Taylor and Ryan’s wedding finally came, I was completely thrilled. The Secret Garden is a beautiful wedding venue and it fit Taylor’s pinterest goals perfectly. It complimented the greenery she had in her bouquet and around the ceremony area and steps leading up to the bridal suite. Her colors were beautifully picked, a timeless blue to compliment the white and greenery. After seeing Ryan in his suit I instantly fell in love with that color for a groom suit and immediately texted my boyfriend saying “I think you’d look good in a blue suit”. HAHA.
Secret Garden Weddings are perfect for a couple in Arizona that wants a big space to throw a party. They have a large ceremony area, outdoor reception area and indoor space for dancing. After their ceremony, the dinner and reception was outside. The weather was beautiful, and the bistro lights created a calm and relaxed atmosphere. I watched their first dance, the mother-son and father-daughter dance. I laughed and teared up a little during speeches. I remember Ryan thanking everybody for constantly tapping their glasses so he had an excuse to kiss his beautiful wife. BE STILL MY HEART!
We finished the evening with some dancing, fun reception events and a sparkler exit. I remember feeling the tears coming at the end because I was so happy for them but also didn’t want to leave. It was a beautiful night and I couldn’t be more thankful that I got a chance to be there and celebrate with them.
