Siletz Bay Wedding at Pelican Brewing

March 25, 2024

Siletz Bay Wedding Photos

A modern twist on coastal wedding design, this photoshoot at Pelican Brewing was a Pinterest dream.

Siletz Bay is a gorgeous place for a wedding, and there’s no better place than Pelican Brewing! This stunning event space has everything you need. With their sleek and modern interior design and a spacious dog-friendly patio overlooking the bay, it’s perfect for your event!

I love to talk about my experience photographing Kyle and Miyles this past February, because it’s proof that the wedding gods are always looking out for us photographers. What’s meant to be, will be! The forecast in Oregon this past February was super gloomy, with constant wind and rain. The week leading up to this event was dismal and the forecast was not looking good. But just when we needed it, the sun came out and there was hardly a cloud in the sky for this gorgeous shoot!

Where is Pelican Brewing – Siletz Bay?

Before Your Perfect Bridesmaid dished out the details of this photoshoot, I had not heard of Siletz Bay. I was really missing out! Located in Lincoln City, just a couple hours from Portland, the area is a dream. The venue sits on a bluff with the perfect view of Siletz Bay’s waters.

If you’re coming from Portland-metro (flying into PDX airport), there are a couple ways to get to Pelican Brewing – Siletz Bay. Take the I5 to OR-99W/South Pacific Highway. You’ll take that highway for a while, until switching over to OR-18 towards Lincoln City.

If you’re coming from Eugene to a wedding at Siletz Bay, you’ll want to take I-5 N and US-20W until you hit Lincoln City! Pelican Brewing is about a 2.5 hour drive from both Portland and Eugene area so guests have both options on where they want to fly in and stay beforehand!

How Pelican Brewing, Siletz Bay can contribute to your dream wedding

The Siletz Bay location of Pelican Brewery feels very modern and chic. The venue has floor to ceiling windows, creating perfect natural light for wedding photography. And of course for guests, perfect views of the bay beyond. You can rest easy knowing that you have both a luxurious indoor and outdoor option for your Oregon coast wedding here.

The upstairs Seaview room is a perfect space for a more intimate wedding. This space features a large gas fireplace, a monitor for displaying slideshows and other viewings, expansive, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a private outdoor balcony overlooking the bay. This room can accommadate up to 48 guests. It would be great for a rehearsal!

For couples planning their own Siletz Bay wedding here, listen up! Pelican Brewing wedding packages include set up and clean up, appetizers, menu options, cake cutting service, rentals and staff. Corkage fees are also worked into the price so couples can bring their own wine, beer and champagne in! I highly recommend trying some of the drinks at Pelican though – their bar is fantastic! Pelican Brewing makes their wedding packages super inclusive, taking the stress off any couple.

Coastal Classic – The inspiration for this beach wedding design at Siletz Bay

Let’s get into the good stuff, the story behind these photographs! Your Perfect Bridesmaid partnered with me and an amazing group of other vendors (I’ll tag them below) for this astounding design. The lead planners Sam and Katie had a vision for a modern twist on a coastal, beach wedding theme. They paired whimsical elements, like dainty pastel flowers, with modern plates and glassware. YPB foraged driftwood, grass and sand to add to the reception space to tie in the beach theme without it being too overpowering. My personal favorite element was the pink retro menu card by Courtney with Courting Design carefully placed on each plate.

The ceremony was set up on the spacious outdoor deck. A word of caution to any couples planning to have their ceremony here, consider securing your arbor to the fence for extra security! Any wedding on the beach is going to be windy – you don’t want to risk it falling over! I was blown away by the floral install. I love using ground pieces in a ceremony because they can be repurposed later at the reception!

What are your favorite elements from this stunning design? Let me know in the comments!

And a huge shoutout to the vendors involved!
