Weddings on the Hill is a classic and timeless wedding venue tucked away in the city of West Linn, Oregon

Holy guacamole! Weddings on the Hill is one of my favorite venues I’ve shot at in my seven years of being a photographer (and counting)! Seriously, this venue has it all. From the classic white building to the beautifully landscaped garden and lawn areas, you have so many options for beautiful photos!

What Weddings on the Hill has to offer!

This venue is perfect for any sized wedding for many reasons! They have a super spacious lawn and garden for you to set up your ceremony and reception outdoors. Inside the main building there are spots for both partners to get ready – with lots of natural light and beautiful architecture. One of my favorite parts of the upstairs suite is the bathroom – it boasts some seriously fun vintage wallpaper! The design is unique and fun; a great place for some photos after you’ve put on your wedding outfit! If it were up to me, I’d even have a little pre-wedding party with my friends in there!

The best time to get married at Weddings on the Hill

If you are local to the great state of Oregon, you may already know about the best time of the year to get married! But if you are not, let’s get into it! The weather in Portland and the surrounding areas is often unpredictable. For that reason, if you are planning an outdoor wedding you should try to get married in July or August, the dry season! Alternatively, you could have a spring wedding (May or June) or even a fall wedding (September-October), but it would be best to have a rain plan ready! How to get to Weddings on the Hill, and where to stay!

This venue is perfect if you are looking for convenience for out of town guests! Located between West Linn and Lake Oswego, it is a quick drive from I-5 and I-205. There are a lot of really beautiful hiking trails in Lake Oswego, as well as a downtown area with great bars, food and a view of the lake! Plenty of options for guests traveling from out of state to have some fun. If you choose to have your wedding at this venue, you have to put Salt and Straw on your “things to do” section of your wedding website!

Marie and Grayson had such a beautiful wedding, the picture-perfect day. Some of my favorite shots of these two were on the estate property (that building is insanely gorgeous!) as well as on the lawn during golden hour!
