As a photographer, there are certain milestones that hold a special place in my heart. When I had the opportunity to capture maternity photos at the Columbia River Gorge for Marie and Grayson, it marked the fourth time they entrusted me to freeze their precious moments in time. From their engagement to their micro wedding and wedding reception, I had the privilege of witnessing their love story unfold through my lens. This time, we ventured to the picturesque Columbia River Gorge, near Cascade Locks, to capture the essence of the Pacific Northwest they hold dear.
Setting the Scene
Marie and Grayson desired maternity photos that exuded the enchanting beauty of the PNW. When I suggested the Columbia River Gorge as our location, they wholeheartedly embraced the idea. The gorge, with its majestic landscapes, lush greenery, and awe-inspiring waterfalls, offered the perfect backdrop for their desired ambiance.

As we were saying our goodbyes, they gifted me a bottle of wine from Durant Vineyards—the very place where they exchanged their vows during their micro wedding ceremony in October 2020. They knew that my own wedding was just around the corner, and this thoughtful gift meant so much to me. My husband Ryan and I will treasure this bottle, awaiting the perfect occasion to uncork it and celebrate the beautiful moments life brings.
